Throughout the academic year, the Doctoral School of the University of Burundi runs a dynamic programme of scientific and cultural activities. These events give doctoral students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge, present their research work to receive constructive feedback, and develop their professional and academic networks. They also help strengthen the visibility of Burundian research by fostering strong and fruitful partnerships with national and international scientific communities.

The Doctoral School of the University of Burundi has the following mission:

Contribute to the academic succession of teachers and researchers at the University of Burundi.

Contribute to training doctoral-level human resources for other higher-education institutions in Burundi and beyond.

The Doctoral School of the University of Burundi mainly aims to:

01. Train highly qualified researchers capable of contributing to solving national and international problems through scientific research.

02. Encourage innovation and creativity by developing solutions tailored to local challenges in various fields such as health, agriculture, technology and social sciences.

03. Strengthen the institutional and academic capacities of the University of Burundi by promoting interdisciplinary and collaborative research.
